And of course do not take my word for it because there is no possible way that a 70 plus year old human brain could compete with a computer program so:
https://arxiv.org/pdf/2403.10677
It should be noted that this experiment was run using the old first generation AKD1000 (28nm) not the improved AKD1500 (22nm FDSOI) or even the next generation eight times more efficient AKIDA 2.0 (FPGA).
It should also be noted that the Loihi 2 (7nm/14nm) chip was only available from Intel via a Cloud connection.
I mention the chip sizes simply to point out the obvious that fabricating AKD1000, AKD1500 and AKIDA 2.0 in 7nm or 14nm will reduce latency and lower power consumption over the stated performance figures at 28nm, 22nmFDSOI and FPGA.
Of course you would need a good reason to choose 7nm or 14nm as going down forces up the cost of fabrication considerably.
