it’s not an unreasonable proposition actually. If you look at change theories (and trump will have noticed this last time around ) measured change processes gives time for opposition to organise itself. So if what you are trying to do is substantial and deep change one way is to move hard and fast. One may back track on some things in the face of pragmatic reality or new information but the direction remains broadly the same
this is not actually any different from the French or Russian revolutions for example.
it is not necessarily the best way of getting change in terms of long term buy in but if the option is ineffective it may be the fastest way and if accompanied by some pretty oppressive control it does “help”
in my view the opposition ( ie the democrats) have been ineffective in managing trump right from his last time in power. His behaviours are predictable in a general sense but the democrats have failed to understand exactly why people are looking to trump or how to deal with him
they look obstructionist and ineffective and they are speaking the “wrong languages”. This is exacerbated by the democrats being far more associated with the very thing they are rejecting. They have also utterly failed to find role models or or influencers that trump supporters can identify with.
