    Haha. Yes.

Regarding "crystalline", I need to add that the only thing that matters is Purity(including the ratio of graphite to carbon black), and/or how easy it is purify the graphite for the intended use.

It's interesting to note that vigilantes AI blurbs picked up on the Graphitics lowering the temperature with their proprietary catalyst and the water produced, but that is exactly the same process that is spelled out in the HZR section with the Fe being reduced before it activates as a catalytic ion (with water produced) in the chemical equations. Therein showing how it is picking up the information, but it doesn't really understand it.

Check that out. I've done some 1st year uni chem to know the basics, but am not a chemist.
Presumably you need a 2+, 3+ to catalise efficiently enough.
1+ is too reactive and you need to save that "slot" for the hydrogen.
Anything with a negative is out, as it might bond to the carbon.
4+ and you're competing with the carbon presumably.

Doesn't leave much that's cheap and easy.
Calcium would be out, I suspect you'd have to use calcium hydroxide(shrug?), and that is eek.
Only really leaves nickel, aluminium, cobalt and zinc?
