Hope this isn’t investment advice, lol. To be fair, I have sold down a bit since first investing. Insider selling, FDA rejection, and most recently, poor price action being the catalysts. This has always been part of my investment strategy and it has worked well for me. That is, buy a company that has great potential but reduce position size when I see risks. Not enough has happened to cause a complete exit but may at some point.
I wouldn’t say the company is bad and dodgy at all. They’ve done some great things with what they’ve bought from other companies. Illucix being the obvious example. What they haven’t done YET, is develop their own product from the bench top. I think this has worked against them as far as FDA applications and approvals go. It’s starting to show with the Pixclara rejection. So now their main product is over 4 years old and is being challenged. We’ll soon find out how that goes. If the head to head is not in our favour I will certainly reduce again. If it goes in our favour I will probably increase my position.
Yes there are therapies in our pipeline too. Personally I haven’t seen enough to convince me of their chances for approval or clear superiority to other products coming through from our many competitors. If that was to change I would be increasing my position again, but right now for me the risks are outweighing the potential rewards.
