I agree with the low skill jobs to a degree, property not so much. I think Australian's would be able to keep the property market moving by themselves without being outbid by a English student at auction.
In my opinion it crosses over from a mechanism to just unnecessarily greedy to enable that to take place.
We have a bit of a motivational crisis brewing at the moment from what I see, as people perceive that they will never be able to attain the Australian Dream, very quickly we're going to see the negative outcomes that stem from a lack of hope and drive. And the quality of the bulk of our immigration isn't exactly high enough to rely upon as a replacement. Inheritances from their Boomers isn't going to help them either - again, my opinion.
