    BHP has paid $4.75 billion for Chesapeakes Fayette shale assets.
    Total area is 487,000 acres which is almost exactly BPT acreage in the Nappamerri trough.
    Of course a lot more development needed to get to the stage of US shale gas, but shows the potential.
