Hi guys,

Following is a link to story how small investors got routed by the big boys thru algorithm trading and tree shaking and lots all their shares in 30 seconds.

We have seen a lot of algoritm trading and shareprice control in VMS since the placement , so I think all this is relevant for us retail investors and especially those who are not familiar with these practices.

And put a few negative posters in the forum and yes small investors do sell sometimes because of all this.




The ASX is not better imho and there was an article in the Sydney Morning Herald today page 6 in the business day section with the headline Global trends could see the ASX turn toxic.

Its about the US blogger Felix Salmon who wrote a nes your times column thas should hve run all the wrong bells for investors and dregualateor in the Australain market.

Salmon wrote: The glory days of publicly traded companies dominating the American business landscape may be over... the stock market is becoming little more then a place for speculators and algorithms to compete over who can trade his way to the most money.
What the market is not doing so well is the core public function: allocating capital efficiently.
