Now I am not saying there is a T/O brewing BUT the issue is if there was one in the works - it would look very similar to a prolonged sell off for the 6 months before the T/O.
Remember Anacor - the one vinnie sold to Pfizer. Have a look at the chart the previous 6 months before it sold - see below. Imagine you bought in at $100 and then saw it sell down for the next 6 months...
I have seen this pattern play out various times with T/Os - that is a loss of 50% or so in the 6 months before T/O
The issue of course is that an imminent T/O looks the same as a stock that has failed fundamentally and of course it is too hard to tell the difference
