"Former Chameleon Mining chairman and managing director Greg Barnes has been acquitted of two criminal charges of providing false and misleading information as a company officer to the Australian Securities Exchange.Three judges in the NSW Court of Criminal Appeal yesterday overturned Mr Barnes’s conviction, ruling that the jury that convicted him was wrong to do so. “The evidence at the trial did not provide a foundation for the conviction of [Mr Barnes] on either count," Justice Robert Macfarlan said."
