re: showdown Good one dodge. It's not been mentioned on this thread, but whether to trade or not also depends on what stage in life one is at. When I first got into the market in Canada back in 60s I was an avid, and very active trader. I spent days at the exchange and gave up my job to trade penny stocks. Now, my main concern is to preserve wealth (mostly gained in property), I still get that rush from species that one can't get from investing in the banks, etc, but, and I have to admit it I've lost that certain "bottle" to activily trade - been hurt too many times to risk it, and my wife would kill me! I think one has to be young and very hungry, a huge ego also helps. GOOD LUCK TO THOSE WHO DO. Its a very fast learning curve!
