This is the cold reality. Even RIO probably won't bother with AGY. Land obtained for free because no one else wanted it, a questionable resource which they already have their own supply of... I think many remaining holders overestimate the value of what AGY has because they previously overestimated it and can't adjust according the the information we now have. Coca Cola or Pepsico doesn't go around buying out failed lemonaide stands from 8 year olds to get their hands on a lemon tree of questionable quality, even if the price is arguably cheap. BHP doesn't buy out small iron ore mines someone else already showed weren't profitable or at best might be marginal.
AGY's 'we have Pablo's secret sauce to cheaply produce lithium from this resource' story has worn very thin, so the company itself is looking very bleak. They have no choices other than somehow raise capital or derail the nepotism gravy train. Obviously the former will be their preference so they'll probably make a desperate attempt to do it somehow. I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with. They're very good at it but this is a very challenging set of conditions for them.
