40 Buses Destroyed: Electric Bus Confirmed as Cause in Philly Fire

"...and here's the part that really matters. The bus that caught fire a few days ago, it wasn't on charge.
The high voltage battery disconnects, they have been pulled, the coolant was drained and the batteries were even stored at a low state of charge.
Even with all those precautions this fire still happened.
That's the frustrating part about these batteries. Unless you have a solid decommissioning plan in place they're a ticking time bomb.
Past events show that these batteries can spontaneously combust even after sitting idle for years... "
QED Electric vehicles are ticking time bombs. As public awareness improves, nobody in their right mind will want to buy a second hand electric vehicle. Especially vehicles sitting outside in the weather... just like those buses.
