Well the truck application will be interesting, in most countries the maximum GVM for trucks is fixed to limit the damage to roads so every extra kilo in tare weight means a kilo less in available payload. I doubt if many fleet operators would be too keen on that proposal. IMO most fleet operators would prefer a higher upfront capital cost giving them a lower tare weight with a higher payload.
Yes IMO Sodium batteries will have a place in BESS and in entry level, short range EVs where low price over rules value for money. Solid State Lithium will rule in most mobile applications.
