The greens seem to be under the impression that preserving the environment means leaving it entirely alone to fend for itself. In reality leaving it alone really means leaving it exposed to pests and pestilence of all kinds, so that the end result is an environmental disaster.

Preserving the environment means nurturing it, caring for it, managing it. Not abandoning it.

One of the essentials of caring for it means keeping weeds and rubbish to a minimum. Properly managed cattle will do that. Perhaps the greens would prefer wild goats be released, go check out parts of western NSW to see what that does.
