Some of the best investments I've ever made has been done when the market was telling me I was wrong. When there is a lot of uncertainty and doubt, this is where there is a greater likelihood of mispricing, and a greater likelihood of the mispricing to be very big.
Conversely - some of the biggest losses I've made has been investing in certainty - when the market was telling me I was right, only to find later, I paid way too much for that certainty, and that certainty was somewhat... less certain than what everyone thought lol. The most dangerous thing is when everyone knows something 'for sure' but they're all wrong.
If you can't do your own work, have faith in it, and go against the market - then you should probably just buy an ETF.
