Coca-Cola Amatil (ASX:CCL) has delivered a full year net profit of $497 million, up 11 per cent from the year before and in line with its earlier forecast of 10 per cent growth.

The beverages manufacturer says it has made a solid start to 2011 with volume and revenue growth ahead of last year in all states except for Queensland, as the state battled with severe weather conditions.

In the 2010 calendar year Coca Cola posted a 1.2 per cent rise in total revenue to $4.6 billion, with beverages accounting for $4 billion of the result.

Throughout the year 550 million unit cases were sold, steady with the prior year.

Looking ahead Coca-Cola Amatil has cautioned that it expects higher commodity prices to increase costs by up to 4 per cent.

The company is gearing up to inject $400 million on capacity improvements, including a $100 million investment in Indonesia and the accelerated rollout of cold drink coolers.

In the first half of its 2010 financial year, Coca-Cola Amatil generated a net profit of $212.7 million.
