It seems to me that there is a world of difference between incident 1 and 2.
1 - a colossal error from which there is no going back 2 - this occurred just last week and was immediately identified and company had apologised to the couple. Surely they can rectify and ensure the couple’s wishes are respected regarding next steps and it doesn’t have to result in a baby. They do not have to take this further and can fix the issue as they still have access to the preferred embryo.
There is no comparison between the two. Sure, today’s ann makes things worse in terms of brand perception and that may explain the market reaction. But they are very different in terms of liability.
