My teenage stepdaughters tell me only old people use Paypal.
They don't have credit cards yet, but I know they are more likely to get some form of BNPL before a credit card and will likely never get Paypal.
And in my exposure to some customers online webstores in a technical capacity a few years back, Paypal was always offered as an option, but Afterpay was too and payments with Afterpay outnumbered those with Paypal - both were outnumbered by credit card payments, but this was an online domestic lighting retailer and their target market was homebuyers and rennovators - not quite the hip teen generation... and this was about 4 years ago, mind you, and things could have changed - but the vibe I'm getting from the younger generation around me tells me BNPL is not going to go away, but Paypal may.
I think it is you who is behind the times.
