Good points, one thing in Neurizon's favor is that the ALS community / lobby in the US is well established and well supported. In-fact I briefly saw a video a few days ago where a congressman or Senator was grilling a health official over ALS.
In any event, all we can do now is sit back and wait for MT and his team to do their thing.
Fingers crossed we will soon have a much clearer picture. [ I hope]
