Apologies for not getting back to you sooner, I’ve been really sick with Covid.
Thank you for reaching out and for your ongoing support and patience as a shareholder. It has been a challenging period, and I fully understand your frustration.
To your questions:
What can shareholders look forward to?
Whilst the Strategic Review is nearing completion, Strike has not hit pause by any means and is actively progressing a number of strategic priorities that we believe will build long-term value, including the commercialisation of our gas resources, delivery of the South Erregulla development, and strengthening our capital position. With a refreshed leadership team and a more focused execution strategy, we are working to position the company for meaningful performance improvement.
On the matter of remuneration:
The Board considered several factors when appointing Jill as interim CEO, including continuity, deep operational knowledge, and the need for strong leadership during a period of transition. The remuneration figure reflects the responsibilities she took on during a critical phase for the company.
On transparency:
We know we need to do better here. The Strategic Review and upcoming communications are aimed at resetting that relationship with our investors, with greater transparency and clearer updates on priorities and progress. Unfortunately, a lot of the work currently being undertaken is significantly commercial in confidence and we are not yet in a position to share this with the broader public. We look forward to sharing updates when we are able to.
Regarding Ocean Hill:
Operational planning is currently underway, and drilling decisions will be communicated to the market once finalised. We are mindful of rig scheduling and capital management, and these factors are being carefully weighed.
We know that share price performance has been disappointing, and that for long-term shareholders like yourself, this has been a difficult ride. The feedback we’ve received, including yours, is helping guide our renewed focus. We’re determined to rebuild trust and create value, and we’re confident that with execution of the strategy we’re laying out, we’ll begin to see that reflected in time.
