So what's suddenly changed? Why all the hand wringing? Do we still believe in the future of rare earths? Is Lynas the outside China go to? Has Lynas just become the only ex China producer of heavy rare earths? Is demand set to explode? If the answer is yes then what's the problem? China is not going to sell rare earth cheaply forever and the West would deserve what they are in for if they think otherwise. As for Trump's 'deal' with China...customers should sign contracts with Lynas now or find themselves high and dry again soon.
