My understanding that the index patient is often a young child in the family so there is less of an issue with roaming, etc. The nature of Dengue is most transmission occurs locally so the family by family approach can be quite efficient.
Where I think the big market for Dengue will be is in outbreak control. Even if ISLA-101 is not 100% sterilising for viremia, if it is able to significantly reduce patient viral levels then it will have a huge effect on reducing the scale of outbreaks. This is similar to what is done with HIV where the anti-HIV drugs are not able to completely clear infection, but they are able to make transmission extremely unlikely and break the infection chain.
Another important thing to consider if we are thinking about HIV is drug combinations. ISLA-101 may have an important role to play as part of a future Dengue drug combination.
