Doubtful there will ever be total nuclear disarmament. Nuclear since it's inception has been tagged a 'deterrent' - if I have it I'll be ok since it'll stop anyone else attacking for fear of such weapons returning. Yet here we are - Israel nuclear armed, Iran wants such weapons - one can have it, one can't, at any cost. Nuclear arming is thus not much of a deterrent but a way to unleash total destruction - only needs a 'few bad men' - there are sufficient of those and many have enough hatred towards others to unleash such, irrespective of consequences.
