Police have physically assaulted 4 former employees of the lead and zinc mine at Brskovo. The mine was shut down 2 decades ago.

The local people are starving and dieing from cancers relating to the lead and zinc mine.

People are complaining about being force to live from 87 euors per month. This is a common story of the people that live in town like Brskovo where there were lead, zinc and silver being mined as far back as the 13th century.

The Mayor is saying that the privatisation deal wasn't done right or did not benefit the deal. [Not sure if this is in reference to previous management or the current acquisition]

5000 people were employed in the town 2 decades ago when the mine was operating now there are below 1200.

Main point of the story is people are poor (nothing new here, people in the former Yugo republic are on hardly 200-300 aussie dollars per month).
