if/when interest rates fall those divvy yields will start looking nicer and nicer (and 50c grosses up to 71c for a current yield of 11.7%).

so YAL pays for itself in 6.5 years (when using simplistic compounding) and I think China is still going to be burning coal for a while yet, heck, they’ll still be building new coal fired power stations then. I also doubt making steel in China will go out of fashion, perhaps not for rebar so much but military build up and stockpiles.

there are plenty of other risks (particularly geo political) but same goes for any investment. (Except, of course Australian housing; obviously that only ever can go up!)
