I listened to the presentation and I'm puzzled. If doing business in China was so great, why was the only CEO there from Uscom, a company that has been there 17 years and their share price has been totally decimated over that long and torturous journey? Where were the CEOs from any other company, let alone small companies that struck it rich in China. Have there been any? 17 years of hard slog and drained resources are not a shining light demonstrating that companies should invest in China and to suggest so was ridiculous.Regulations on wheels are in constant motion and not good for business.
The government there is all about making China rich, not foreign companies. Unfortunately the CCP keeps changing the rules to suit themselves, which is a totally self serving behaviour designed to bleed foreign companies dry. I'm sorry, but these are the facts as I see them. I have asked for success stories from smaller companies doing business in China, but so far nobody has presented a single one to cast any doubts on my theory and/or experience of doing business in this land.
Uscom should have made a lot of sales in 17 years but were stopped from doing so. Simple but true.
