Permit me to state the rather obvious: when one invests capital, one does not expect to be treated as an afterthought by those who are, after all, mere custodians of that capital. Yet this has become the signature posture of Brainchip’s leadership.
There was a time, indeed, when many of us invested with a degree of optimism. We were told of the revolutionary nature of the technology, the imminent commercial breakthroughs, and a future of inevitable adoption. What we have instead witnessed is a masterclass in self-sabotage: botched announcements, spectacular IR mismanagement, executive revolving doors, and a redomicile debacle that was not only poorly conceived but publicly contradicted by the Chairman himself — all while shareholders are treated to the occasional patronising platitude about how “we are listening.”
This is not merely a failure of investor relations. It is a failure of institutional maturity. A failure of leadership. And more than that — it is an insult to the intelligence of shareholders.
You ask me if there is a good story to tell? Indeed there is: a world-class technology burdened by the strategic and communicative incompetence of those entrusted to commercialise it. That, tragically, is the story.
If you choose to avert your gaze, to pretend this is merely ‘how companies operate’, that is your prerogative. But don’t expect those of us who believe shareholders deserve transparency, competence, and accountability to quietly fall into line. Our persistence is not futile — it is necessary. And unless those at the top fundamentally alter their approach, this company will continue to erode what little goodwill remains.
The choice is theirs. But time, as always, is merciless.
