One of the big ones that's very similar was a situation I had back in 2019 where you had Rural funds group under a short attack from Bonita's Research, and in combination with the drought.
RFF and Vitalharvest had sold down to being 35-40% undervalued so took out a massive position on both & let's just say made quite a few dollars on both over the next 2 years.
Then used the proceeds and a bit of a loan and bought in during Covid in March 2020 to a couple different investments like NASDAQ ETF, IKO etf and a couple smaller ones that did extremely well like SVL - which was a silver mine that quadrupled a $50k investment. Then sold out of most of these in 2023 and used all the proceeds to invest in Chinese tech, BABA, JD etc.
Now selling down a lot of these this year to invest in REITs like REP, COF and HCW
