There's only a certain amount of these high tech missiles that can be produced in x period of time.
Money is easy to get/spend, there are actual physical constraints on how many interceptor missiles can be produced. They don't just appear out of thin air.

Yes they have. There was selective targeting back in 2024 as well. Their systems have it built in. Why would they bother trying to intercept a missile that's not going to strike anything?
There's an ongoing supply from the US, but only once the US has it's own supplies covered, and that ongoing supply also has production limits. The US can't immediately ramp up production to an endless number of interceptors, that's not how it works.
