Pre-surgery use of combination immunotherapy (checkpoint inhibitors) for high risk (stage3) melanoma
84% patients treated with immunotherapy prior to surgery had 12 month event free survival rate compared to 57% who received SOC.
This new treatment is approved for funding under PBS scheme (stage 3 patients).
