funny we had that conversation at the start of this war on Gaza. the Israeli supporters could not accept that any live in the land of Canaan before Moses and his tribe arrived.
yes their "promised" land was occupied for thousands of years before Jews came into being. and even their bible tells them so. they made war on Jerusalem when it was an unwalled small town; they made war all through their history.... until others with bigger armies made war on them, ie Babylonian.
