You might find that the problem with Christianity and God is that the Bible has been translated from one language to another and the truth in those "Stories" that make up the Bible, have been heavily adulterated.
225,000 odd words in Greek and only 9,000 in Hebrew. You can't but run of the road when you go from 225,000 down to 9,000 words...................it's a sure fire way to lose the real meaning in a story.
Remember, the Bible and most if not all Religious Texts are stories. In most cases we don't know the authors and we don't have reference material to corroborate those stories.
One of the translations of the word God, has an issue in that it is also referred to as a rank or level of authority among the Elohim.
Thus the word God refers to over a Hundred Gods that held rank in the Elohim.
Just for the record, there's now over 1,000 versions of the Bible. Stories in it, stories deleted from it, interpretations changed.................. etc etc etc
Religion is a crutch for the weak....................... you will have a lot of trouble if you try to take a crutch away from someone that has trouble staying upright with out it.
