I dropped out of high school not long after year 8, 1st year in high school having attended very little of year 9. So getting into Uni as a mature aged student and graduating with a degree was a satisfying personal accomplishment.

One of the hardest units was statistics, every one dreaded that one and my maths was limited. Note psychology students sat the same exam and if you failed twice you got dropped. I failed the mid term exam badly but I put in a lot of effort studying and ended with an over all score of 86%, I must have got near 100% in the final exam to have got that.

LOL English was one of my worst subjects and not as if they teach English in a commerce degree but I was able to put some TAFE report writing lessons to good use and thank god for computors. By the time I got to my 3rd (final) year I had become quite proficient and writing up assignments with full Harvard referencing.

I don't think those that have not attended university appreciate the high standards required to complete a degree, mind you a lot of the younger and particularly Asian/Chinese student where happy just to get a pass but I aimed for much more than that
