I think I’m going to give myself an aneurysm if I keep reading this forum and expect the same few morons to provide any intelligent views or input on STX.
Everyone is in the red. Nobody buys a company when they believe it’s overvalued. Hopefully, we all did our own research and determined what the current and future valuations of STX would be, based on information we have and assumptions made. And if those evidence based outcomes do not come to fruition, be a responsible investor and sell. If you hold, you can only blame yourself.
On the other hand, do we really need to clarify to adult investors the meaning of commercial in confidence? No news doesn’t assume bad news. No news can mean a lot of things. And for some instances, the longer we let something by ferment, the stronger the content. When there is limited news flow it benefits me because I’m not having to interpret a flurry of market sensitive news to update my pricing forecasts.
And instead of yelling, whining and kicking yourself for buying at a price above today’s, update your investment thesis. If it’s going lower, then sell, if it’s not, hold or buy. But markets will stay irrational longer than you are able to stay liquid. Spend what you can afford, and if you don’t , that makes you a gambler, not an investor. And I’m not on here to discuss gambling, I’m here like many others to discuss investing.
