All these planes falling out of the sky and gung ho unsafe airlines flying straight into war zones and destinations like Doha, Dubai and Abu Dhabi which are obviously far from safe given the presence of geopolitical warfare makes you wonder whether the insurance for aviation is too cheap.
The regulation is shoddy, the aircraft manufacturers unethical, pilots on drugs, some of the airlines highly risky and transferring safety to insurers, it is becoming a shocking industry subject to regulatory capture.
Regulators like the FAA need root and branch review.
