In the US, the DOW rose 404 points (.94%), the NBI rose 7 points (.19%), the NASDAQ Composite rose 194 points (.97%) and the Russell small cap index rose 35 points (1.68%).
Data showed that the US GDP contracted by .5% in the first quarter of 2025.
US new jobless claims came in at 236k (below expected 245K).
