Thanks @shovel40, @Fiji1, @uncleBuck, @JohnI and morning crew.
Half-time wrap:
Australian shares rallied to a two-week high after Wall Street closed near record levels overnight.
The ASX 200 traded above 8,600 before trimming its advance to seven points or 0.08% at 8558.
Iron ore heavyweights BHP, Rio Tinto and Fortescue all gained at least 3.5% after a rebound in China ore prices. Macquarie Group, Wesfarmers and the major energy producers also rose.
Wall Street set the tone for the session as the S&P 500 and Nasdaq closed within a whisker of previous highs. The S&P 500 extended its advance this week to 2.9% with an overnight gain of 0.8%.
Personal trading: Exited NSB and EWC for brokerage. Caught NXS at the low, but didn't get enough to matter much.
