Following a period of delays, it now appears Sorby Hills is on track to become a near-term lead-silver producer. I am willing to accept that progress was not helped by decaying macro-economic conditions during the covid pandemic in addition to the complexities of having an international JV partner. With improving macroeconomic indicators, a strengthening silver price, and a weaker Australian dollar, the outlook for securing favourable project financing over the next six months has materially improved.
The project continues to be presented as low cost and highly economic with a high quality lead-silver concentrate. BML appears to have acquired its joint venture partner’s interest, entered into offtake agreements (including partial funding provisions), secured critical infrastructure such as the processing plant and camp, and most recently, stated confidence in obtaining suitable financing.
The proceeds from the recent capital raise have been allocated to pre-development activities, the refurbishment of accommodation facilities, and provide the company with the flexibility to undertake additional drilling. In light of these developments, could shareholders reasonably expect that funding will be secured and that project development will proceed as anticipated? Can shareholders also expect that a drilling campaign will commence shortly to expand the current resource?
Lastly, as non-dilutive financing was initially expected to be finalised in the first half of 2025, could you kindly provide an update on the anticipated timeline for securing this funding?
