He's right about deposits and processing in China however I think the Chinese are doing their best to work around it to keep any price impacts as low as possible in order to keep others out/maintain control. In a selfish and convenient move in taking more from Myanmar, the environmental issues in China itself are somewhat less impactful to the price deck than first thought. Until Myanmar put their foot down, the game continues for the Chinese and the price deck remains muted. There are definitely cracks in their armour that can lead to higher or much higher prices. I just don't think it's as simple as environmental issues in China equals higher priced REEs while they prioritise in situ mining over the border, doing it irresponsibly all over again.
