I note that in the trial results from Oct 2007 to which Jukes refers, they measure pump performance based on "Cumulative Distance Travelled by Piston". I presume that, from what you wrote Jukes, they can use this measurement to confidently predict water pressure and therefore energy output.
In 2007 trials, actual performance was better than modeled data.
