I am so sorry that GpT and I have managed to shut down discussion on the 3 chatrooms I am aware of, London South East , Hot Copper and ADVFN.
Imho , and on all boards , members of the chatrooms know his various usernames and simply ignore his libellous criticism of the Tlou boardroom and in particular TG.
Unlike most of us , I do not accept that the chatrooms have no bearing on the company's future. In the early days I am convinced TLOU read our views on those platforms and we did influence their thinking. Colm, in particular, used to say he was aware of shareholder's worries or thoughts. But my main concern was that the very few investors who actually heard that TLOU or Botswana existed would read the criticism and never consider buying shares in TLOU , or ever visit the chat rooms again?
In 2025, TLOU represent , imho , the best chance of a successful start-up imaginable.
We are within weeks of raising our first income if Kala Data , our partner are to be believed.
Tony Gilby fortunately did not have ideas above his station , or go for a MAJOR MAJOR project from the off, as Chris Fraser did at Sirius Minerals. He started well and identified North Yorkshire as the place to invest in. Mining a fertiliser called polyhalite but from a National Park. That raised objections from the British Public which he took seriously so digging polyhalite to load lorries or trains for delivery ended up with underground tunnels, conveyor belts, a port , a fleet of ships etc etc.
And Sirius with coming on for 10bn shares went bust and sold out to Anglo-American for around 5p a share!
Tony moved from a similar plan , get the gas , put it in containers , and ship it where it was needed on lorries. With equity from shareholders, his family (him I suspect),and a Botswana govt Pension Fund, his plans were small and he intended to live within his means Tlou-wise.
The original plan was thought to be feasible within 18 months back in the 2010's. And everybody was optimistic! The well named Selemo came with the plots TLOU now lease and TLOU continued to work it. The previous developer must have been sick when TLOU dewatered it back in 2017 within 2 or 3 months and TLOU flared its first gas.
Royalties were payable on Selemo profits, and a drill got jammed and had to be abandoned, so TLOU used Selemo gas to power a small CBM to Electricity generator for onsite use and moved to another royalty-free plot , Lesedi! No profits at Selemo but they made a saving on diesel costs and the CBM to Electricity concept was proven.
Tlou peaked at 17p per share until Lesedi proved to be more difficult than Selemo.
Dewatering at Lesedi has lasted for years and gas flows suffer until the well is dried out. Wells #3 and #4 at Lesedi had an alignment issue so gas pressures from each other did not merge as planned but fought against each other. #3 was shut off during Covid lockdown and #4 reduced for the duration of lockdown to save money over an unknow period. After lockdown eased, #6 was drilled and #4 restored. #6 had improved gas flows over its predecessors and #4 was improved using knowledge gained from #6.
At some point, it is unclear when , for me at least, TLOU changed their plans.
Gone was the gas delivery idea, and now TLOU was aiming to create a turn-key CBM to Electricity powerhouse. A 100Km connection to the national grid at Serowe, delivering 66Kv generated by our own Lesedi power plant.
This was close to completion in 2024 , subject to funding. In the intervening period Dr. Ian Campbell was underwriting placings in TLOU and was now the largest shareholder by far! The Pension Fund came next and then the Gilby family.
AIM was considered to be too expensive for what it brought to to TLOU.
Shareholders on all exchanges were becoming disillusioned with the lack of progress and delisting from AIM was the final straw for some British investors. ASX shares dropped from 3.4c in December 2024 to less than 2c in 2025.
Buying shares on ASX is laborious and haphazard compared to AIM for the Brits, it is no longer enjoyable. ASX opening at 1am does not help. And then prices are delayed by 20 minutes.
Australian commission looks very steep compared to the UK. I can trade a minimum of £90 with my broker at zero commission. My account is GBP based so FX charges are inevitable whether buying or selling ( cost 0.7% +/- against FX rate).
The spread was 1.2c to 1.3c last night.
ASX base is AUD and my broker limits me to 3 decimal places so if I want to enter 0.0125 i.e. 1.25c I cannot!
AIM base is 1p so I can get within 0.001p of my ideal price!
On AIM I can request fixed price so I can apply for x shares at y price on the quote and it will be accepted or rejected. Accepted=great . Rejected then amend x or y and try again! On ASX I have to enter a limit within 0.1c of my ideal price - the whole spread.
I have been buying at the top of the spread, trying to get sellers to raise it.
I have stopped because I am buying at 2am to 3am , then sleeping , and some idiot will sell below my price and set a lower closing price. A friend on LSE said he leaves his buy at a low price to cash in - so unknowingly we have been at war.
Why are people taking these ridiculous prices?????
Do they not believe Kala when they say openly they are supplying interest free loans? It is against their religion to charge interest!
In the UK and no doubt Australia, we have loads of taxi owners who buy taxi plates with money from churches and friends borrowed interest free!
Melbourne Taxi Plate MT LicencePrice: $390,000
The interest on a bank loan on that? Kala Data are happily setting TLOU up for life!
I would not sell TLOU for less than 20c ..... and that is cheap imho.
