Just bought the printed version as I do not have the online access account.

Really nothing more than what we know already. Three bidders. "Sources" say offers are for US assets at book value. That is rubbish in my opinion as values are on the up so we should see some consideration of future values.

Geez give us $12 billion, or a bit of a bidding war would be nice.

Some speculation that the hedge funds who have taken a large part of the debt book are more interested in a recapitalisation and restructure than a full sell off.

Smart as property values are bouncing back and this would be a nice turn around to their investment.

It is claimed in the article that Paulson & Co have shifted from the debt book, to which they bought in at $0.55 and sold at $0.70, to the buy side with a JP Morgan consortium.

That's really all, no real substance just rehashing the same stuff. Hard working journalism at its best!
