From memory, this area is part of the Tansey Porphyry complex; this may be the epithermal section. I know the Gympie Gold Limited exploration team most favoured this area as the place most likely to hold another "Gympie style" deposit. BHP estimated Gympie to hold 6-12 million ounces, when they restarted mining in the 1980s there. History has a curious habit of repeating itself in geology. Might be worth a closer look.
