THE Australian Securities Exchange has confirmed that trading will recommence as normal today following a technical "glitch" that disrupted trades late yesterday.
But the ASX also warned that all Tailor Made Combinations (a function used mainly by professional traders which allows a certain technical type of trading) have been disabled.

"ASX is working on a permanent resolution to this issue and will provide further updates," the exchange said in a statement.

A spokesman for the ASX confirmed the normal opening this morning, after technicians worked to resolve the glitch that prevent all but futures trading from 3pm (AEDT) yesterday afternoon,

The spokesman said the technical problem had prevented confirmation messages of successful trades being generated by the ASX IT system.

"In order to rectify that issue, we had to close down the entire system," the spokesman said.
