Another Milestone Achieved!!!
Today Coronado Global Resources Inc. celebrates first coal production from the new shaft at our Buchanan complex, creating seamless coal flow and enabling both longwalls at Buchanan to operate optimally. This accomplishment secures the long-term sustainability of the mine throughout challenging market conditions.
Over the past two years, our team in the U.S. and Australia has navigated a volatile met coal market and overcome significant operational challenges to deliver substantial strategic achievements – including commissioning our first Australian underground mine; simplifying the operational model at Curragh; and implementing a global ERP system. These achievements are testament to the extraordinary commitment, resilience, and capability of our people.
As we celebrate these critical milestones, we remain focused on unlocking our assets' full potential and building a business that thrives through market cycles.
