I missed out another in the crowd The Loy Yang power station, it is the largest in Victoria and the open cut mine is the largest producing brown coal mine in the southern hemisphere with enough reserves to last several hundred years . Adjacent To the mine is the 2,200 megawatt Loy Yang power station . This is where i imagine the coldry plant will be located. Loy Yang also supplys coal to loy yang B power station and consumes 270 litres/second of water .
