FQM, AVM, TGS etc etc are all up today, so why would MWE suddenly be the lone ranger. There are coups, attempted coups and many other disruptions to the leaderships of countries all over Africa on a very regular basis.
From my time in the region, the bad guys never interfered with the operations of the mines as they provide the source of funds without which they can achieve nothing ie acquire personal wealth.
The coup in the DRC was not deadly as the apparent target of the up rising was not at home. It would be a unique coup for a small number of soldiers (no mention of officers) to be successful.
Recommend that HC readers have a look at a map and note the distance between the MWE operations and the capital of the DRC.
While I acknowledge that any in country disturbance is unsettling and potentially unfavourable to the listing timing of MWE, from my experience the impact will be minimal. I sure hope that I am right.
