Wouldnt really call this a downtrend as technically the stock has failed to produce a series of lower lows (many have plotted an uptrending line intersecting the higher lows at the underside of the symmetrical triangle, on that premise you would call it an uptrend! lol), its a consolidation phase (hence symmetrical triangle) but we know what youre trying to get at. Big volume and price movements seem around the corner.
