News: Westfield chairman steps aside

    Westfield Group’s (ASX:WDC) Frank Lowy has stepped down from his role as executive chairman. He will take the role of non-executive chairman, making way for his sons Steven and Peter Lowy to become chief executives.



    Long serving directors David Gonski and David Lowy are set to stand down at the company’s AGM in May.



    Brian Schwartz has been appointed deputy chairman, having served on the board since 2009.



    Westfield Group posted a full year net profit of $1.1 billion to December 31, 2010.
