We might be hearing a bit more about these Flex Capacity Credits over next few months. Looks like it may have been developed specifically to encourage projects like the one we are discussing. Another good thing is there wasn't 2 blue dots meaning only one applicant (which hopefully means Gina hasn't also applied separately competing with STX). @Oraka I believe Mir said the facility would be on the Precinct at SE which makes sense as most of WE is nature reserve, but it would be fed from WE/ED.
The interesting thing is we know Gina is an advocate for Gas and Drill baby Drill, so she can't talk down STXs plans, but is she going to join the party as a JV partner in the facility or let STX go it alone? I'm sure she would enjoy rubbing labors nose in it. Actually I would really like to see Gina (Hancock Energy) tuck the local WA energy company under its wing and make the JV power. Basically use STX as the fresh face to develop infrastructure ( which may be 100% hers in the future). If this 255Mw plant by STX alone is announced it will be great, but if it is endorsed, fully supported and possibly a JV project then that will be HUGE news.
